Severine Dette, a chemical engineer with specialization in melt crystallization and freeze concentration of liquid foods, has been involved in the development of process solutions from lab to industrial scale. She has been a regular participant in various crystallization conferences all over the globe. Severine Dette has completed her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Joachim Ulrich at the Martin Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg.

Professional Experience:
  • Graduated in Chemistry Sciences (Industrial Chemistry) in 1987 from Murcia University.
  • Professional experience as Process Technician at Abonos Complejos del Sureste, dedicated to the manufacture of nitrogenous fertilisers and granulates complexes, from 1987 to 1992.
  • Doctorate in Chemistry Sciences in 1997 from Murcia University.
  • In 1998, under contract at Murcia University, she collaborated in the Investigation Project called “Product recovery and emissions reduction through the use of membrane process”, financed by Repsol Química.
  • Between 2000-2002 she worked at the Agriculture, water and environment department from the Murcia Region.
  • From 1998 to the present she works as a teacher in the Chemical Engineering Department at Murcia University.
